Donald Heape is an attorney in a private law practice in Placerville handling Criminal and Juvenile law as well as nonprofit legal work. He left the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office after 14 years as Chief Assistant District Attorney. While in the D.A.'s office, Mr. Heape was responsible for narcotics prosecution; violent crimes prosecution including domestic violence, sex crimes and homicides; law enforcement training; administration, budget and personnel and the Victim Witness Program. He has complex criminal defense experience and has represented under-served residents through court and community contracts.
